Making your first moves in Spider Solitaire

Before making a move, check the cards in view. Complete eight same-suit king-to-ace runs. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. Take the next action only when the current step is clear. Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Build down by rank. Only descending same-suit groups move together. Empty columns accept any movable group. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Two decks, one/two/four suits; fill every column before a ten-card stock deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

Take a closer look while playing

A clear plan starts with the current position. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.
