Yukon Solitaire: rules and examples

Treat this as a chance to practise one rule. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. A clear plan starts with the current position. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

One deck, no stock, Yukon deal. Free solo play, no wagering.

A small practice goal

Before making a move, check the cards in view. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

What the game asks you to do

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. Take a moment to read the table.

Step by step

  1. Build down in alternating colours. Any face-up card carries all cards below it, even when unordered. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Move exposed cards onto suit foundations in the stated rank order.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

How to interact with the game

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer. Before making a move, check the cards in view.

Follow the example

A red 6 carrying an unordered tail can move onto a black 7. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

Watch out for this

Begin with the objective. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Check the relevant controls before continuing.
